Possible Dimensions?

Single-unit retractable awnings can span up to 40 feet wide with projections up to 14 feet. For larger areas, we can install multiple units that operate together seamlessly.

What happens if it gets windy?

Our awnings are rated for winds up to 25 mph when equipped with wind sensors. The optional wind sensor automatically retracts the awning when wind speeds exceed safe levels, protecting your investment even when you're away.

Can I leave my awning extended in the rain?

While our awning fabrics are water-resistant and can handle light rain, we recommend retracting the awning prior to ANY inclement weather. Extended exposure to standing water can cause the awning to fail.

What control options are available?

Our motorized awnings can be controlled via remote control, smartphone app, or Bond Bridge for smart home integration. You can also add optional wind sensors for automated operation.

How do I maintain my retractable awning?

For routine cleaning, simply brush off loose debris and rinse with a garden hose. For deeper cleaning, use a mild soap solution and a soft brush. Avoid harsh chemicals or pressure washers. Allow the fabric to dry completely before retracting. Download our Retractable Awnings Use and Care Guide (PDF)

We offer insect mesh (standard and no-see-um), solar shade fabrics (various openness levels from 1% to 10%), privacy fabrics, and blackout options. Each serves different purposes from bug protection to sun control to complete privacy.

Can screens be used in windy conditions?

Our track-guided screen systems are rated for winds up to 25 mph. The side tracks keep the screen fabric secure and prevent billowing. For cable-guided systems, wind ratings may be lower. We recommend retracting screens during severe weather.

How much do solar screens reduce heat?

Solar screen fabrics can block up to 95% of UV rays and significantly reduce heat gain. Many customers report noticeable reductions in cooling costs after installing solar screens on sun-facing openings.

Can I still see through solar screens?

Yes! Solar screens maintain outward visibility while reducing glare and heat. The openness factor (typically 3-5%) determines how much light passes through. You can see out clearly during the day, while people outside have limited visibility looking in.
